1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Holosome ("we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, mobile applications, and related features (the "Service"). Because Holosome helps you track sleep, diet, exercise, lab results, medications, menstrual cycles, skincare, and daily routines, much of the information you provide is sensitive health information. We treat it accordingly.
2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect information such as your name, email address, and profile details, including through third-party sign-in providers (Apple, Google).
Health and wellness data. Information you log or upload, including sleep sessions, meals and macros, workouts and routines, lab results, medications and dosing schedules, menstrual cycle and symptom data, skincare routines, and Ayurveda/dinacharya preferences.
Social data. If you use friends or leaderboard features, we collect the connections you make and the activity you choose to share with those connections.
AI feature inputs. If you use chat or estimation features (for example, meal-plan estimates), we process the messages, images, or data you submit in order to generate a response.
Device and usage data. Information about how you use the Service, such as app version, device type, and general diagnostic and log data.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Generate the summaries, trends, and estimates you request within the Service, including AI-assisted features;
- Enable social features you opt into, such as friends and leaderboards;
- Maintain the security and integrity of the Service;
- Communicate with you about your account or the Service; and
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your health data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. With infrastructure, hosting, authentication, and analytics providers who process data on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
- AI providers. When you use AI-assisted features (such as chat or meal-plan estimation), the relevant inputs are sent to our AI service provider to generate a response.
- Other users, at your direction. Information you choose to share through friends or leaderboard features is visible to the connections you make.
- Legal and safety. If required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Holosome, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your information under this Policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal and health data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or export the personal data we hold about you;
- Request deletion of your account and associated data;
- Withdraw consent to specific uses of your data, such as social features; and
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.

7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. International Users
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect.
